Which capacitor to use in the reverb unit?

The 330k or the 500k? Has anybody tried both of them? I saw one site
in which a guy used a 1000k cap. That seems like it is over doing it.

I think you mean a 330pF or 500pF cap ("k" is usually seen after
resistor values) ... If you're talking about the C10 cap mod, I used
the 500pF, but just because it's what I had lying around. I think
that the Guitar Player magazine article on the RI reverb unit from
way-back-when suggested a 370pF silver mica cap.
The best guide is what sounds good to you! If you want to compare
different capacitor values, check out the switch I describe in my RI
reverb tank mod site:
