Nobody knows anything about King of Hawaii and the Manatees are dead.
I personally have never heard either of those band. My friend, who I
don't see often, has a King of Hawaii CD he is going to get me.

Eric Hutchinson (ehutch247) - 25 Feb 2005 21:55:18

I spoke with those bands when I had a website devoted to surf music
in seattle. The manatees split up to form Thee Space Needles. King
of Hawaii is still open for playing gigs for personal events same
with Johnny Astro (I believe they broke up then played Bumbershoot
for a couple years). I think the Mercury 4 are still around as well,
but some of those members may have joined with Thee Space Needles.
Everyone else is defunct. too bad.
