Jeff (bigtikidude) - 20 Feb 2005 17:40:29

-Chris sorry if I missedthis in a post before.
But is your Jaguar Baritone the same scale length as a Bass VI?
And how do you have it tuned?
Then what is that Gibson doing on that wall? get it off. Just kidding

It is a 28" scale length. Bass VI is 30" I believe. It is tuned E-
e. It has Bass VI gauge strings on it 25-95. The whole Baritone
part of the name makes it seem like it should be tuned differently.
They should have called it a "Jag Bass VI"

It's my first good guitar. It's a '77 Ibanez Copy. It almost
never gets played anymore.

Chris,
thanks for the info on the Jag baritone, have you thought about
puttting on lighter strings for a A to a tunnnig.
Personally I like the E to e also, since I'm a bass player.
By the way, I should talk about your Les Paul copy.
I have a mid 80's Kramer p-bass copy instead of a real Fender.
It does have great tone, but I need to make the leap to the '
real deal one day.

E-e makes it easier for me to go from guitar to this. Any other
tuning would throw me off.
