Ok, the Vista series Jagmasters were made with
Japanese Jazzmaster reissue bodies...I've always
assumed that because of the small amount of space
between the pickgaurd and the humbuckers on my guitar
that the Jazzmaster bodies they used were already
routed for Jazzmaster pickups. I was thinking of
replacing my stock neck pickup with another humbucker,
but would it be possible for me to slap a Jazzmaster
pickup in there? I just spotted an American reissue
pickup for sale and the idea occured to me. Thoughts?

I have heard that a Jazzmaster pickup is too wide for a Jagmaster. Don't
quote me on it though. I am also not sure about Jagmasters having MIJ
Jazzmaster bodies anyway. Maybe they do, but they would have to be routed
differently because of the 24" scale Jagmaster neck. You would have to move
the bridge to compensate for the shorter neck, and thus move the pickups,
etc. So maybe they used a more standard humbucker route on the
Jagmasters...??
I'd love to hear the scoop on this too, if you find out.
