I've often wondered how Dave get's such a clean tone out of a
Super. What alterations has he made to it? I know the Super Reverb
and Bandmaster are "essentially" the same chassis and are both 40
watts. One major difference would be the solid state rectifier vs.
the tube rectifier. I've been told that the solid state rectifier
keeps things cleaner than the tube rectifier. It seems like its
more than just the speakers when it comes to my Bandmaster's 40
clean watts, and my Super's 40 blues breaker watts.
