Re: [SurfGuitar101] What if...we built our own Fender Surf Guitar?

DP (noetical1) - 18 Jan 2005 02:21:20

Gavin:
This idea is too intense...what a great idea!
The Ultimate Surf Guitar by Fender! Get yours while they
last!
Well, I'll kick down my first request: a zero-fret.
A true surf guitar deserves a zero-fret. It was Semie
Moseley's crowning achievement...and we all know that we
have to at least nod in his direction out of pure respect
and admiration. Poor old misunderstood Semie...I miss him,
even if he had nothing to do with Fender.
So, I'd really like to make sure whatever the guitar turns
out to be, it at least has a cool zero-fret. Fender Corona
will probably have to design a whole new set of production
machines to accomodate my request, but if I'm going to
spend $2500 for The Ultimate Surf Guitar by Fender, it
better well have a decent zero-fret.
And a cool strap lock system...

PS: I can forsee this thread going on for weeks!
