Okay, I got this crazy idea: what if we all got a bunch of letters together,
from players all
over the world, saying that we'd support Fender building a surf guitar? We could
plot out
the details and features via polls or posts, then feed them to Dave W to vet as
he sees fit (I
think we can all agree, Dave would be a good guy to decide what would work well
together). If Dave, that is, would be willing. Then, we put it all together in
one package,
and send it to Corona.
Sure, it's bound not to work, but what the hell? We got nothing to lose. And
wouldn't it be
cool to be part of the creation of a purpose-built custom surf guitar we might
actually be
able to buy?
Just a thought. If there's enough interest, I will volunteer to coordinate the
letters and the
guitar description.
