The figures break down like this: $100 in 1965 is worth $610.35 in today's
dollars. So, a
$400 gig would have paid $2,441 plus change. Yikes! All of a sudden, those
instrument
prices start to sound a little better!
By comparison, most of the locally-gigging bands in Colorado Springs can expect
from
$400 to $600 per night in the very largest bars.
