Subject: [SurfGuitar101] Jazzmaster Bridge moving: the plot thickens
This is a follow-up to my earlier posts about how the bridge on both
my AVRI and CIJ JM's moved, so that it would be perfectly set up but
then the bridge would move down and I'd fret-out on higher note bends
etc.
So I brought them in to my guitar-guy, who set them up and applied
lock-tite.
got them home, and played the AVRI at rehearsal last night... within
an hour, I was fretting again... and then during one song, the guitar
actually became noticeably and progressively out of tune, as the
bridge sank rather quickly...
At that point, I gave up and picked up my Jaguar, which is what I'll
be playing at tomorrow nite's gig.
I haven't even tried the CIJ.
I'm now thinking I may have a more serious problem with the JM's, and
they're going to have to go back in the shop, unless someone can
think of another fix.
Any other thoughts from the members here?
Much obliged,
Rio
