I'm sorta going for that 'mini Showman' thing with my Twin: So I thought I'd
take the low budget approach to acquiring some of these JBLs that everyone
seems to like....went on the dreaded 'bay, and found one with no cone, but
voice coil looks ok. As soon as it arrives off it goes to Ted Weber (fellow
Hoosier).
Anyone using / used any speakers (or their big brothers) like these that
have been reconed? Sound OK? Ted has a great rep...and I may get one of his
Cali's unless I scrounge another 'deal'. We'll see...my luck on the 'bay has
been mixed.
