BN,
My Japanese Jazzmaster has three different-sized barrels. As I've often noted
here, you
can refit the Jag or Jazz bridge with either Mustang saddles or Graphtech
saddles a
Mustang bridge isn't necessary, since the only difference is the barrels. The
saddles will
help with the buzzing, but not so much as the Buzzstop, which I installed on my
Jazz.
I don't know how the AV Jags and Jazz bodies compare with the vintage, can't do
an A/B,
but I did play a vintage and Jap Jag side-by-side once, and the vintage felt
more solid and
comfortable. But, all-in-all, I didn't feel or hear a HUGE difference.
I have a new Surf Guitar custom job I am building...can't wait to show it to the
group!
