Being that the SMFASP are Canadian...I would guess that
they use either Premier or Traynor amplification and
reverberage...but, of course it's only a hunch...
I know that The Blue Stingrays (aka the Heartbreakers of
Tom Petty fame) favour Premier equipment, and they have a
very similar "Sadowy Men" sound ...also old Love Tractor
had several pieces of Premier equipment in their line up,
and they too possess a "Shadowy Men" sound charachter
If anyone knows the real story, I'd love to hear it...
