I've always been a huge pop punk fan and I'm just
getting back into it since Johnny passed and I started
listening The Ramones a lot for a few days. My
favorite bands are mostly Lookout! Records bands like
Screeching Weasel, The Riverdales, The Lillingtons,
The Queers, The Vindictives, Sloppy Seconds (junk
rock! ha) and pretty much any stupid, slap-happy pop
punk derived directly from The Ramones. It's my
guilty pleasure. I'm also always getting into really
obscure punk bands that never get to the point of
putting out albums, or putting out albums that are
impossible to find, and then breaking up.
Man, if you've got $1000 to $1500 to spend on a guitar
then you've got a lot of options. Are you in the
U.S.? Did you want single coils or humbuckers?
