Re: [SurfGuitar101] Reissue tank

You're not alone in those thoughts, Z. I think the reissue sounds great as is
and was not able to tell the difference when I did an A/B comparison with a
couple of originals and the RI.

I have a reissue. My brother had and original that he used back in the
60's. The reissue sound the same as I remember the original sounding,
granted I was 2-4 years old (and sitting inside my other brother's
bass drum) at the time.
I'm sure there are people who will tell you that the reissue is no
good. I honestly think mine sounds great. Maybe it's all that time I
spent in the bass drum....

I'm checking the price of a Fender reissue reverb tank and it's just
over half the price of this original '62 tank for sale that I know
of. What is the difference in sound between a reissue and an
original? Does an original really sound twice as good? Can I get
that soaking wet sound with a reissue? I'm just a player, not a
collector so I don't care what year it was made.
