I'd try to go directly through Ishibashi, I've heard great reviews
from people dealing with them. Or if you didn't mind having a '62
reissue just pick up one of the musican friends Jazzmasters that are
now popping up on ebay.

I say try it without the buzzstop and keeping the original saddles on
it first. I planned to do these mods on my Jazzmaster and haven't
had a need to yet.

What about a Jaguar??? I started on a Jazzmaster and got a Jag as a
backup and now can't put it down.
