Re: Eddie Bertrand /and Lively Ones, reply to DP

Jeff (bigtikidude) - 11 Sep 2004 18:00:39

Hey DP,
I sadly have to agree with you about the 2 shows you saw.
The Lively Ones are a snooze fest. They just played at the Pier in HB,
and as usual I wanted to take a Nap. They have a different guitar
player with them, to rip it up(old school style)ocasionally which he
does. But Jim plays his country style leads most of the time. Tim is
a Great drummer, and he did oustanding job playing double duty with
the Dynotones, and then the Lively Ones right after. Also I got to
watch him play 3 sets with the Dynotones up close last weekend at the
Continental Club in Fullerton, and was truley blown away by his
smokin' hot jazzy and fast percission style, mixed with their Heavy
R&B style.
