My God, I just got home from the show and now I'm watching this band
called the Darkness on late night TV. Just for THAT I'm gonna quote
my favorite anti hippy rant by L.A.s original (1978) art/punk
weirdos, the Deadbeats.
"Kill the Hippies":

...In all fairness, I'd better include the first verse:

OK, go ahead and flame me for this one, but I can NOT believe the
size of the audience for this band (The Darkness).
Let's face it. The most outragous thing that can happen to popular
music now is for a clean cut all American surf band to take over the
world.

PS: I actually like some Grateful Dead tunes, and can't even listen
to most crappy hardcore punk, so don't even get all bent outta shape
on me!
