all this talk about distortion pedals give me an opening to ask...
Anyone ever try an "Expandora" pedal? comments?
I have an old (circa 1982) MXR Overdrive pedal that is so-so, but I remember
when I bought it, I had my decision narrowed down between in and a Ibanez
TS-9 Tube Screamer. SRV was about a year away from making them (the TS9) a
thing of legend, and to my ears it didnt have the tone the MXR did. Ten
years later, I bought a TS-10 Tube Screamer and have used it a lot more than
the MXR, although I'm a 'lite' distortion user at best.
I'd also like to say how much I hate amps with master volumes, and built in
distortion. But thats just me. :)
