If you're talking about the Boss RV-3 reverb pedal, the Holy Grail
sounds WAY better in my opinion. When I use my Fender tank, the Holy
Grail is my backup. When I'm too lazy to bring the Fender, the Holy
Grail is a decent substitute and the RV-3 is the backup. The RV-3's
reverbs aren't real good sounding, especially for surf... but they'd
get you by in an emergency. This is something to consider, given the
Holy Grail's flimsy construction and sometimes flaky operation. Boss
pedals are bulletproof.
