Re: [SurfGuitar101] Digital Reverb Pedals

Ric Flinn (zanshin09) - 30 Jul 2004 15:04:54

Hi Alex,
I used a Holy Grail until recently (I finally finished
building a Fender reverb unit clone), and while it has
some shortcomings, it isn't a bad pedal. Sound-wise it
gets plenty wet, but doesn't quite have the same
clarity and "drippiness" of a real tank. Even so, it's
well worth the $65 I shelled for it on ebay. I think
most non-surf guitarists (i.e. non-reverb-mongers)
tend to give it very high marks, and even quite a few
surf players seem to keep them around for a backup.
