That's a lot of names! It's a tough call, but I like the Smoking Jackets
because you can wear them when you play. My next favorite is the
Headless Gidgets.
That reminds me of our trouble finding a band name as a teenager. Our
singer was named Dave, so we wanted a corny name with Dave in it.
Ironically, even though we weren't a surf band, one of the choices was
Dave Wave and the Surfers (I think there is a Dave Wave out there!).
Among others was:
Nuclear Dave and the Warheads (it was the 80s)
Electric Dave and the Sockets
Crazy Dave and the Lunatics
Poor Dave and the Panhandlers
Dave Death and the Morticians
There were so many more I can't remember, but obviously we were doing
this more for fun than being serious. Feel free to steal ideas. I don't
know where the heck any of these people are anymore.
