I was close enough to see your child receive the pick, Kristena. I didn't know
that was you. I worried that the pick was just the right size for the kid to
choke on. I'm a worry-wart!

We went to Glendale last night too. It was a great show. We were able
to get a place right up front because we originally were going there to
see Big Sandy. It wasn't until later that we found out about Dick Dale's
performance.
My husband held up our 2 year old and Dick gave her one of his picks with
his logo on it. Nice.
I attached a picture, but I'm sorry the resolution isn't better. We took
it on the phone camera and Dick moves around so much that it's hard to
capture a good photo.
The Big Sandy performance was great too. For those of you who aren't
into rockabilly, Big Sandy and the Fly-Rite Boys put on a good show.
Check out their stuff sometime. Their CDs are good, but the live
performance is so much better, kind of like Dick Dale. I know they have
a website, but I'm not sure about the URL. Use a search engine--I'm too
lazy to right now.
