Let me reply to myself (how narcissistic is that)?
I think I overstated the following:

I agree, the Bambi Molesters are not just a surf band, they have their own
"thing" going on now. Their own sound and unique style.
However, after looking at the DVD again, I don't think the malice towards
the surf genre was present like I had originally imagined. I am perhaps a
bit too sensitive to criticism of the genre as a whole....I am guilty on
that point. Hey, its a great style that needs more recognition. But again, I
recant those remarks. Buy the DVD. You will enjoy it.
