the coolest ones were the compacts & mini compacts - they made a variety of
models & colors. Those are the ones most used by contemporary surf & garage
bands (like the Bomboras, Ghastly Ones, Untamed Youth, etc.). Laika uses a
Fast IV or Fast V, which I believe came out after the compact series -
probably later in the 60s (they also use a Nord Lead synthesizer which
emualtes the moog-esque analog synths of the 70s and early 80s. Farfisas
along with the Vox organs fetch quite the lofty sums on Ebay and
specialty/repair shops -even the ones that admittedly don't work still get
$100 - $200 just for the parts.

If anyone is in the Northeast, I have a Fast IV (maybe a V) I might be
interested in unloading for the right price - I wouldn't ship it, but I know
it works.
