Re: [SurfGuitar101] string prices, was: Re: In the bowels of the ($399) beast(STRINGS)

Back in the day's, when animals still could talk, Pyramid strings were
easily available, but were considered as very uncool. As a matter of fact
there was not much choice, it was Pyramid or Piccatto. The public wanted d
Addario, they got d'Addario.

Pyramid flatwound bass strings (as well as guitar strings) are
available in europe at
they have both short and long scale, one gauge only though, i think
they're about 35 euros a set.
I think guitar and bass strings is not really an issue for pyramid.
They're more in the market for classical instruments, at least that's
the impression I got from what they answered on e-mails: they don't
seem to give a toss about distrubiting guitar strings.
I know a dutch e-retailer is working on getting Pyramids in his
programm, but this is very preliminary.
