Re: Aquaknotts Live in Chicago

Thanks Greg, I think it's all about your target audience, with the
Ventures stuff you don't have to have hardcore surf fans in your
audience.
The Ventures are our biggest influence, however we are a three piece
so its really naked sounding and raw which sets us apart from most of
the bands doing this...we still haven't decided if that's a good
thing or not lol. We do a few Straitjackets tunes, and some Eddie
and the Showmen as well. We had a guy come up to us who's in a surf
band here in the city that has been together for awhile and he said
they wouldn't do "Journey to the Stars" live. So we may stick with
the Ventures stuff.
Good luck with your band, are you planning on doing a traditional
tribute to the Ventures with outfits, stage setup, etc?
Regards,
Bill
