Jerry,
The saddles are clean and smooth, but maybe the strings rub against
a bur on the trem. plate before bending down the assembly. I'm
considering going to the vintage trem for a better workmanship and
sound. Although a Squire, the guitar itself really has great action
and playability.
Maybe its the D'addario flatwound strings?
