You can try a Dallas Arbiter or a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face. Jimi used a
Dallas Arbiter Fuzz face. If it has germanium transistors, try putting it in
the freezer for a
while before using it. Cesar Diaz (SRV's tech) also mentioned that the lower
resistance (weaker) pickups of the 60s worked better with these gain-boosting
efffects.
