I have enjoyed reading other peoples answers to these questions, so
here's my story...
> > How long have you been playing?
I am 34 now. I started playing guitar in the late 80's, I have
always had guitars around, but I really started trying to learn
something about 6 years ago.
> > What instrument(s) do you play?
I play guitar, mostly, although I do play the piano occasionally. I
took piano lessons from 7-15 years old. At the time, I didn't want
to, but looking back it was one of the most educational things I
could have done, and it really gave me an apprecation for music.
Even though I haven't seriously played the piano for 20 years, I can
still read music and bang out a song. I would like to learn how to
drum.
My current surf gear is: a MIJ Jazzmaster, several reissue
strats, including a D.D. replica I built and painted myself, and a
new Mosite ( I just got it, I'm still unsure of it) a RI Reverb
unit, and a '77 Fender Vibrosonic Reverb with the big 15" JBL D130F.
Here is a link to my Dick Dale replica guitar....its at the bottom of
the page.

The first record I ever bought by myself was "The Beach Boys in
concert". It was on 8 track, I think I was 7. Their version of Lets
Go trippin' is one of my favorite songs. Really, I got to the good
stuff through listening to the Beach Boys, hearing their versions of
songs, then finding the original bands. For years I wanted to find
a copy of Dick Dales "misirlou", but it was pretty hard here in
Colorado. As soon as I heard it, I was hooked! Surf Rules!
