I'll chime in here - the reissues can be made to sound very good with
tube upgrades, but I have seen the poor reliability issues also.
It's a bigger hassle but try to find yourself a silver face model
(even the master volume ones can be made to sound good) and a good
tech and in the long run you'll be better off
buy the earliest and cosmetically best model you can find - it will
keep its value the best
