try to put up a little more info about how the Yahoo! group works at In case you didn't know, you
can read the messages in one of 3 ways: individual emails, a daily
digest mode, or no email (you can always read the messages and view
the archives at ). Daily
Digest mode is good for high traffic lists if you want to avoid
getting dozens of emails a day.
Thanks for posting introductions. Israel? Wow I thought I was
isolated from the surf scene living in the midwest, USA. What other
non-USA members do we have?
Here is my story...and I am sticking to it:
Amateur basement level surf guitar player...I hope to get off my butt
someday and try to find like minded individuals and start a band for
fun.
Most of my gear was acquired before I discovered surf music, and
there isn't any real rhyme or reason to it:
Fender American Vintage Series '62 Jaguar Reissue (Candy Apple Red -
Wow do I love this thing! Strung with .012" flatwounds)
Olympic White Lonestar Strat (seriously thinking about replacing the
humbucker with another Texas Special single coil...more applicable to
surf to my ears)
Fender Squier Super-Sonic (Blue Sparkle) (This is my experimental
guitar - added Seymour Duncan pickups and push/pull pots for coil
tapping -- thinking about selling it)
Fender 2x12" Hot Rod DeVille amp
Fender Blues Deluxe Amp (actually my brother's)
Fender Reissue Reverb Unit
Need to get:
1) Either mod the Lonestar or get a 3 single coil strat
2) A Jazzmaster!
3) A cheap bass for messing around with - possibly a Dano
