hi guys,
anyone an expert on pickups for s strat?
I'm considering buying new pickups for my strat for a 60's strat surf
sound, but i don't know a lot about pickups...
i did some searching on the SD site which gives excellent info, and
what i came up with is that most likely, I'm looking for low to
medium output Alnico V pickups.
in SD terms, that would be the SSL-2 or ANtiquityII surfer pickups.
- now the questions, how does 'staggered' work, waht should i get for
playing lead?
- are there other brands that offer the same sort op pup for less
money?
- how are mighty might pickups? they seem tot be dead cheap?
