I have played several squire strats, one was an older one that i played in a
punk type alterna band, and another at my friends house, they were both
decent gutiars, and much better than the old yamaha that i have laying
around. But if you are on a budget i would recomend hitting up ebay for some
danelectro guitars, they are cheap on average, and you could probably swing
a good deal for one. And btw, what kind of keys do you play (style wise)
cause that could be cool in a surf band too, which is very apearent in the
tiki tones music.
