Man, this is such a lame question, I know, but as I've
said before, keyboards are my main instrument, and I'm relatively
new to surf guitar.
Anyway, what gage (is that spelled right?) of strings are best for
surf? I've always assumed heavy. Can someone let me know?

OH! And one other question: I've been thinking about getting
a new guitar--the one I have right now is a "Memphis" (a Fender
clone) which is pretty beat-up, on which most of the pick-ups are
no longer working. Anyway, I've been thinking about getting
an entry-level Fender (I think the "Squire" is the entry-level), because
lack of funds do not permit something more grandiose. Are Fender
Squires decent guitars???
