acts here in So. Cal. but read about soooo many 'famous' names that I
missed. My favorite way to spend my day off is getting on my
motorcylce, head to the beach, catch a surf band, swim (in summer)
grab a bit to eat, explore PCH and head home, nothing' is better.
I'll make that up next spring. Here's my question: What's the best
way to get into playing surf style music, I bought my daughter a
Fender Squire kit, I know, made in China, probably not in your
league, but will it get us started? Is Ivan on these posts, the Ivan
from the Space Cossacks? If so, I'm honored, you rock!. Just got
your 2 cd's. I love 'Mir Rescue'. Any input would be greatly
appreciated!!!

Hello Henry;
Yes, I'm Ivan of the Space Cossacks. Thank you very much for the
compliments, and I'm glad to hear you liked our CDs. And you'll find
that MANY great surf musicians are on this list - you'll definitely
learn a lot.
How old is your daughter? I really don't know anything about the
Squier kit, but it's probably a decent way to get somebody started.
It's still Fender, after all!
Now, count your lucky stars for living in SoCal where you can as you
put it "get on my motorcylce, head to the beach, catch a surf band,
swim, grab a bite to eat, explore PCH and head home." Sounds
perfect. Can't do that in Michigan very much...
