I had asked earlier about C12N and C12K for use with a '66 BF Band
Master head & cabinet. Thanks to Jerry and others who responded.
Another speaker that's been suggested for my BM is a pair of Jensen
re-issue P12Qs Alnicos.
How are they likely to be for a "surf" sound? I'm going to want a
fairly clean sound, but not totally clean-- I won't mind a bit of
break-up when the amp is pushed.
I've got a bit of concern they might be too "creamy" or distorted (I
usually play between 6.5 and 8 on my Bandmaster).
I'll probably get a chance to hear them before I buy them, but does
anybody have any experience with those speakers?
Shoud I stick with ceramics? And if so, do I go with the C12N, or
should I consider the C12Q?
As always, I really appreciate the comments of forum members. I will
add that one of the real pluses of this forum, compared to some
others, is the generally positive and civil tone of the discussion.
