Rick, '57/'62 RI (stands for "ReIssue") is the standard pickup on
Fender's '57 and '62 reissue Strats. They can be bought separately,
as well, and they're all made with Alnico V magnets, like the
originals were in the fifties and sixties (a very important part of
the vintage tone).
Seymour Duncan SSL1 - I just checked their website, and it was as I
thought: these are their pure and simple reproductions of vintage
Strat pickups. Their equivalent of Fender's '57/'62 RI pickups. is
there any difference between these two? I really don't know.
Probably very little, if any. They're both great pickups, and you
won't go wrong with either one, they'll both deliver oodles of
vintage sound.
