One Four Six Oh (thor1460) - 21 Feb 2002 19:49:29

I listenned to that guy's song and it didn't seem very surfy to me at all..
Anyways, for my reverb tank I have the tone at like 4.5, mixer at 8.5, and
dwell at almost 7 and this sounds pretty good with my amp cranked. I use a
Martial Valvestate halfstack because it's what I have and I think it sounds
fine, but then again I'm not necessarily going for a completely trad sound.
Feel free to judge for yourself, I've got some MP3's of my band on the site:
And I keep the high setting on my amp just low enough so that it doesn't
peirce too much, mid I put where it sounds good, and low I put as high as
possible without taking too much splash out of the sound (which depending on
my mood goes all the way up to 10).
I've never been able to tell the difference between tone, dell, and mixer,
they all sound almost exactly the same to me, even if they do different
things. I just try to get as much reverb as possible, but low enough so
that when I play chords that it doesn't sound fuzzy and so that notes still
sound kinda punchy (I think that's the word).
I've also got a video from our last show on my band's website, it's in the
sound waves section, a song called "Happy In A Cage". I played the entire
show and didn't realize till the last song that I had forgotted to unlock my
reverb pan! That ever happen to any of you? Anyways, any comments would be
greatly appreciated (and I promise it's pretty surfy).
