Re: [SurfGuitar101] Turntable owners unite!

DP (noetical1) - 29 Jul 2003 10:33:18

Dude,
Vinyl is the root of all things surf.
I have the mandatory milk-crate full off LPs that they will
have to pry from my cold dying hands.
I purchased a really cool AIWA turntable to plug into the
back (the AUX inputs) of my AIWA Boombox CD/Cassette
player...it is no audiophile turntable, but it still sounds
bitchen'. ( www.aiwa.com ) I have my turntable on the shelf
and I crank up "Surfer's Choice" or "The Ventures a'Go-Go"
often.
I love old wacky thrift shop vinyl, I love old
almost-out-of-business record shops. The Salvation Army
and St. Vincent d'Paul is cool with me. I love goin' to
grandma's house and diggin' through her Desi Arnaz
collection. Vinyl is here to stay,...even my daughter
knows what a "record album" is...but, her friends don't!
Vinyl...it's not just for dj's anymore!
