Here is what "The Doctor" said about these guitars on the Fender Forum...

They do seem to be different that the American Vintage series though. The
headstocks are different, the pickguards are stark white instead of mint
green, and the Jag has no mute. They seem to be American versions of the
Japanese reissues!!!
