I have not seen the neck you're talking about, but I can't see how the scale
could be correct. If you look at the picture I posted, you will see that the
bridge is towards the nut, and sits on top of the pick guard.
Also, having the Jag tail-piece makes for a different sound because of string
length. It doesn't matter where the bridge is, how long the string{ to the tail
piece} will effect the tone.
That humbucker{Seymor '59} on that Blonde guitar sounds real big and round. Not
the sound I expected from a pick up like that. I guess because of that string
length/bridge/tailpiece issue.

FWIW, I just saw in Guitar Player that someone sells such a neck for a
Strat. That and a longer scale one. Just bolt on, no other changes.
