Just curious. I got into "surf music" as a partial result of
actually surfing waves (I started boardsurfing the late 50's). My
fave LP was The Ventures "Surfing", still is my fave retro surf
music ... man, would that pump us up for a dawn patrol. Then there's
Dick Dale, Chantays, Challengers, Crossfires, Sandals, etc. ... and
even the Trashman did a coupla surf tunes that were worthy (for a mid-
western non-surfing band). Now, I dig the Surf Kings and Slacktone
most of all - beetchin' tunes and tones. Oh well, just curious about
the surfing ... I'll shut up and paddle back into lineup now ....
