As I was dissecting my RI reverb tank (in order to reverse-engineer
for my PTP reverb tank project), I came across the foam that Phil
mentioned last June. For some reason, that question stuck in my
head - I knew the foam was there, but didn't know exactly where it
was. Upon examination, there is a square of foam that (I assume) is
glued onto the back of the front panel of the tank - this is placed
so that it cushions the springs when the reverb pan locking device
is engaged.
Phil probably figured this out on his tank, but thought I'd pass my
findings along . . . I've got pics if anyone is curious ;)
