Re: Stupid Amp Qestion

Ryan (rj_shades) - 17 Apr 2003 13:55:50

Hey Gavin,
Yeah, I like my setup for now. The gear is totally tempting, but I
have made a rule that I will not buy any new gear until I can go into
the store, and actually try it out by ripping out The Victor or Lets
Go Trippin or Miserlou etc.
What are some good books to start with? I have "The Guitar Handbook"
by Ralph Denyer wich is pretty decent. I go between practicing surf
songs to doing scales.
I am up in northern california, so I learned at Cowells and Linda
Mar. I got good at a place called 3 mile during el nino. I used to
take road trips down the coast all the time listening to dick dale,
and surfed pretty much everywhere.
I like San Onofre and hope to get down to trestles before the
military base is installed. I have never been surfing down in SD
though. My GF showed me blacks and the canyons, and it looked pretty
incredible.
