The hodad is not a strat...but it is a fine surf machine. I
really enjoy my Hodad, it has a rock solid maple neck and
the quality of mine is superb. The tremolo sytem (a bigsby
clone) functions well, the guitar retains tune well. I love
mine! The masonite body is cool for feedback when I want
it. The twang is absolutely bitchen!
I have heard rumours of quality control issues re:
danelectros. I reccomend that you go a try one out for
yourself before you buy.

ps: I have heard quality contol rumours about MIM Fenders
too. You might want to play one of those in person before
buying also.
