The punchiness of he sound is the fender sound to the
max. Its a sound associated with the sixties more than
previous and later decades, especially surf, since
they all had them. So its the trad sound. I guess they
are more efficient too, because the sound waves can’t
cancel each other out by being reflected from some
wall around the back of the stage or in a small
studio.
