I have a Hodad, but mine doesn't have the tremolo system. I
personally love it -- it plays smoothly, and the push-pull tone pots
can really generate some great surfy twang. While a Strat would
probably be a more versatile guitar, as far as playing in various
styles, I think a hodad would probably be a better value.
The one thing to look out for is the width of the fretboard -- it
seems to me to be a little wider than most Fender necks are... could
be my imagination because it's a somewhat more "shallow" neck, but
that's just something to keep in mind... but I'd give my Hodad a 4/4
star review.

I am wondering about the Hodad.

the Hodad were mostly very positive.

Danelectro payroll?
