I don't know of anything in Tampa, but there is a fairly healthy
Rock-a-billy scene which is always friendly to Surf music. As far as
'dive bars' go, the Tiny Tap tavern is my favorite watering hole. It's
a dive with cheap beer, pool, a juke box and the bathroom on the
outside.
On an unrelated noted, I'd like to welcome Jet Powers back state side
who spent a good portion of his winter and early spring on a mostly
classified mission carving circles in the sky over a desertous portion
of this globe far far away from the shores of America.
He has quite a picture collection of band t-shirts worn 'in theater'
that I would encourage him to post on surfguitar 101. How 'bout it Jet?
