Our bass player just got one of these last month from Japan...his is
a very nice sunburst, Fender Japan really knows how to do sunburst
right! It also has active electronics, which you can control from
the top control panel that is on all Jazzmasters and Jags.
At first I was not so sure about this bass, seeing as Pete(our bass
player)has a number of nice vintage P-basses...BUT, I really enjoy it
now that his has dialed it properly.
It can be very punchy AND warm...kinda like a jazz bass, but it cuts
thru nicely when we are going full blast!
I say get one!
