i have the roy zimmerman 'surf guitar' book and think it is a good
back up to figuring out tunes by ear. i have found mistakes in it, but
sometimes it depends who's version of a song you are learning as to
which notes are 'right'. one book that i learned quite a bit from when
i was first learning to play was the hal leonard publication 'classic
rock instrumentals'. i have found i retain what i've learned more if i
figure it out on my own, instead of from a book, but then, we're all
different....carol
